Dr. Opgi has developed a central computing facility, having more than 200+ computers including different labs for conduction of various online exams, training and recruitment process with Internet and Intranet connectivity over wired and Wi-fi medium.
The institution is developed with intellectually vibrant ambience in a serene and lush green environment. Comprising smart buildings with well equipped lecture theatres, tutorial rooms, laboratories, Wi-Fi connectivity, hostels, canteen, mess, sports grounds, Learning Resource Center, all in an eco-friendly environment.
The institute recognizes the importance of sportsmanship and team spirit for students. This culminates in the adequate infrastructure for sports and games like Cricket Ground with turf pitch, Football Ground, Volleyball Courts, Basketball Court, Badminton Court, Lawn Tennis Court, Table-tennis, Jogging path, Chess and several other outdoor and indoor games. Institute has its own Basketball and Volleyball teams that have participated in sports events at the National and State level and have won laurels. The institute has also appointed a special trainer for helping students face various intra and inter sports competitions.
Art education may be perceived as a tool for the development of aesthetic sensibility among learners to enable them to respond to the beauty in color, shape,form,movement. Art education and appreciation of one’s cultural heritage may go side by side and reinforce the understanding of each others.Art education enables students and faculty to fully experience the joy of teaching and learning. It enables them to fully appreciate and experience the beauty of the universe and helps in their healthy-mental development.Other objective of art education are to bring students closer to their environment, to them about their cultural heritage and to inculcate in them respect for each other’s work. Fine art would have developed enough motivations and interest among them in the subject. Art education can provide the most satisfying medium of creative expression which has to be given due importance to the best interest of the society.
We have an ART & CRAFT lab to enhance students for their art activity. According to our syllabus we teach the theory as well as do the practicum class with powerpoint presentation. We have tried to develop their color sense,value of heritage and as well as the beauty of nature. We teach them how to develop proper collage work, poster design and mainly how to prepare any model useful for teaching learning out of waste or low cost materials
With an aim to provide residential facilities to the students. The Institutions provide separate hostels for boys and girls . The affectionate, cooperative, warm and affable atmosphere for about 200 inmates is a place akin to home. It provides a clean environment, nutritious food, airy and spacious rooms. The motherly care provided by the hostel warden not only gives a warm atmosphere to the students but also provides them security. A regular checkup of the students is done by the fortnight visit of the doctor. Apart from the good, hygienic and sumptuous food the hostel also provides recreational facilities like indoor and outdoor games, T.V. etc. Special guidance in health through yoga and meditation keeps the students fit and strong. Hostel nights and various festivals are celebrated with zest on theme of dance, skits and songs.
The library includes a large number of books, national periodicals, event reports, news journals etc. the library aims to facilitate production and dissemination of knowledge, information, insights and intellectual contribution in all areas of education among the academic and business community. The Institutions library has a Book Bank Scheme for both UG and PG students, in which a set of textbooks are loaned to the students for use, during the academic year.
The Institutions has zoology, botany, microbiology, chemistry, biotechnology, computer, home science, geography, fine arts, psychology & language lab which are well equipped and well designed with updated technology for U.G. as well as P.G. students.
The Institutions provide a facility of commuting to avoid the difficulty to the students to reach from far flung areas of the city. The university has pressed into service a fleet of buses for this purpose.
The institution has a centrally located cafeteria which provides nutritious, healthy food to the students. The faculty members keep a check on the quality of food serve there. It serves mouth watering delicacies in proper hygiene with well sitting plan.
